Hey everyone,

Let’s continue from where we left off in the previous post. Talking about skin types, knowing your skin, observing how it responds to different products and understanding how to care for it is really important. It is the first step to having amazing skin. Having discussed oily and normal skin, let’s discuss the other skin types.

Dry skin is flaky, sometimes rough textured, prone to fine lines and wrinkles and ages faster. It does look very smooth and has very fine pores. Dry skin lacks moisture so choose products with extra moisturizing ingredients like Vitamin E and Aloe Vera. Choose moisturizing foundations (don’t buy any matte foundations or powders no matter how hyped they are. They won’t do your skin justice), creamy lipsticks, blush, a great moisturizer like embryollise and a creamy concealer too. After you have ensured that your skin is well plumped and nothing on it is creamy without being cakey, add on powder to set the foundation and powder. You can also wear tinted moisturizer on the go. It gives you the best of both worlds without you putting on a lot of makeup. It’s a moisturizer which has been formulated like foundation shades so it gives you both moisture and a hint of foundation.

Sensitive skin is skin that is prone to being easily inflamed. It may sting, itch or burn after you use some products whether makeup or not. If this is your skin type, look for products that are fragrance-free, contain calming ingredients such as aloe, chamomile, green tea, Shea butter. Look out for products that have organic ingredients which are very gentle to the skin.

For the love of beauty,
Alexia.
